Topic 2. Question 11. E-commerce website is credible or not.

  1. E-commerce websites use trustmarks which are used to show the person who is buying from the site that his/her personal information is save and will not be shared with anyone esle.
  2. If you are still worried about if the site is safe and you can use it without risk. Go to the e-commerce sites company policies as well as their terms and conditions. RSS aggregator is a piece of software that is used to group information together in one place so that it is easy to access. The information pulled together can be news, photos, blogs, pod casts and videos. Sites such as Facebook use the software to group their information.

Internet infrastructure is when there is a system of computers which are connected through internet and other pieces of technology. Computers and other pieces of technology connect by using routers, cable and wireless access points.

My internet is supplied by Telkom it is a 1 MB/s and it is uncapped.

3 examples of technology which influences the relationships between people.

  • Computer is a piece of technology that was one of the first to directly influence the relationships of people with the use of internet. 
  • Sony PlayStation 3 is used to connect to the internet to allow the player to play against anyone in the world who is playing the same game. This allows the players to connect across the world and build friendships. Where back in the day you would only be able to talk to the people around you.
  • Digital cameras are now able to connect to the internet which allows you to connect to social media and send photos of you and others straight to webpages like Facebook no matter where you are as long as you have an internet connection.

Topic 1. Question 2. Internet Easter eggs.

What is an internet Easter egg? An Easter egg is a secret message that is left by the development team for someone who may know what to type in or to click on in the webpage. Most Easter eggs are humorous messages. Below is a list of 10 internet Easter eggs.

  1. Type in Google search "Recursion" It will say you did not spell it properly but when you push for the right spelling it gives you the same spelling as what you typed into the search bar.
  2. While you are in Google earth by pushing "Ctrl + Alt + A" It will turn Google earth into a flight simulator.
  3. The website "Oatmeal.com" If you right click on the page and then click on view source.
  4. The website "Kickstarter" At the bottom of the page there is a pair of scissors. You click the scissors 3 times and it will cut the page for you.
  5. The website "IMDB" the song "This is spinal tap" has a rating of 11 out of 10.
  6. "Sky bet" has a button that is in a shape of a little man that says "boss is coming" once you click on it a page will open with graphs and tables to make you look busy.
  7. The webpage "Mini cooper USA" If you type "reverse" in the search bar and the page will become back words.
  8. Facebook has a setting that you are able to change the language into "Pirate Language"
  9. "youtube" If you pause your video and press the left and right keys down the game snake will begin.
  10. The website "HEMA" If you push the the picture of the cup the page will come alive.

Topic 1. Question 1. Introduction.

Hello my name is Gaffer. I am studying a degree in psychology. This is my Digital Citizenship assignment. I have accounts on the following social media sites Facebook, twitter, whatsapp and 9 gag. These sites are just a few of the sites that make up my digital footprint. A digital footprint is a persons history of what he or she has done with any digital product like internet, TV and gaming devices etc ... There are positive and negative digital footprints, positives being someone can find information about you from anywhere at anytime. Negatives can be there is a photo of you that should not be seen by others and ended up on the internet. Where I find my biggest footprint would be twitter and 9 gag. I visit these sites at least 3 to 5 times a day.
